Lifestyle Photography at Honeybee Nest Cottage, Whitby

On a late afternoon in September, nestled near some woodland between Egton and Grosmont, I set about the task of capturing the essence of family life at Honeybee Nest Cottage.

With four boys, two labradors, three cats and a very camera shy mum (Dad was at work) and not to mention a herd of wandering cows, this was going to be an interesting afternoon.

We only set up one photo of the boys, as Sophie wanted photos that told the story of their lives, a snapshot of time, daily life, and what an amazing life these four young boys have.

Fresh air in abundance, wild berries to pick, nature to observe, a go-cart to race down the winding drive to their house, I must admit there were photo opportunities everywhere I turned.

I came away with hundreds of photos from the afternoon, and a yearning to move to the countryside! Here is a very small selection of the images we got on the day:
