Fire at the Magpie Cafe in Whitby

Here are my images from today’s events as the Magpie Cafe caught fire for the second time in 24 hours.

On a busy bank holiday Monday the town literally stood still and watched on in shock as smoke billowed from the building.

After last night’s fire we thought the famous and much loved Whitby cafe had got away relatively unscathed, so it is very sad to see the destruction from the second fire.

My thoughts are with all owners and employees of The Magpie. I hope it is a quick road to repair and recovery and so glad to hear that again, no one was hurt.
