We have been so lucky with the weather this winter. When Kerry got in touch to ask if I was available between christmas and new year I initially wondered if we’d be doing a snowy photoshoot!
But it has been on of the mildest winters I can recall. There was a little bit of frost on the roads but once we got to Falling Foss, just outside Whitby, it was really quite mild. The light was lovely with the low winter sun casting a warm glow through the trees.
Kerry wanted some family photos that represented day to day life for her, her two children, her husband and the dog! She said she wouldn’t have felt herself if she had to get really dressed up and pose inside a studio. So we donned our winter coats and headed into the woods for my favourite kind of photoshoot.
We spent around an hour walking and pausing to shoot images whenever the light or backdrop worked well. It was difficult to choose my favourites from this photoshoot but here are a few below from the session.
