Commerical photography shoot for Witness Clothing by Ceri Oakes Photography
On the first sunny day in Whitby for a couple of weeks we were raring to go for our summer fashion shoot which we had planned for that evening on the beach.
Come 3pm however the familiar fog started to descend and we were worried we were going to have to reschedule. We had planned the shoot for early evening, but as the fog started to lift and the setting sun burnt through the haze we ended up with some really lovely light.
The shoot was to showcase the summer range of clothes from Witness on Flowergate in Whitby. The surf and skate shop sells a wide range of men and women’s clothing from casuals, to sportswear to pretty summer dresses.
As with most of my shoots I used 100% natural light. We wanted the photos to be natural, relaxed and true to the kind of people that would wear the clothing.
Sam and Geri were the perfect models. The pair were completely laid back, up for quick outfit changes in the back of a van, and happy to get salty and sandy down the beach.
We accessorised the outfits with Geri’s handmade jewellery. Made from silver and items collected from the beach they couldn’t have been a more perfect choice to set off the clothes and compliment the location.
All the clothes in this shoot are available from Witness on 14 Flowergate, Whitby and you can purchase the jewellery from Geri’s page, Smuggler’s Treasures, here.
