Commerical photography at Charity Golf Day

We were particularly lucky with the weather on Friday for the annual charity golf day at Whitby Golf Club in aid of the Fishermen’s Mission. The aim of the event was to raise funds for the charity who provide both financial and emotional support to local fishermen and their families.

The day had a fun feel to it which I wanted to capture in the photos on this beautiful golf course, which sits literally on the cliff edge over looking the North Sea. Local Scampi producers, Whitby Seafoods, hosted the match, and provided a welcomed Scampi stop half way.

The course takes a real battering from the wind and salty air, and those who hadn’t played the course before found it challenging. The sun shone but clouds lingered in the distance, threatening rain, but most players made it back to the club before the heaven’s opened in the afternoon.
